Welcome to the Houston Women’s Society of CPAs (HWSCPA) website. The purpose of the Houston Women’s Society of CPAs (HWSCPA) is to advance the professional interests of women CPAs residing in the Houston area through various programs and publications.

We are also setting up a Scholarship Donation Fund, if you would like to contribute. We will be awarding scholarships in the Spring of 2026. Check out our Scholarships page for more information on what we are doing to help local women accounting students.

We want to GROW and EXPAND our membership. Please help us spread the word and invite other female CPAs to our various events. This year, we will be hosting social gatherings, virtual webinars, our annual leadership conference, our annual spring seminar, and our end of year social in May.

President’s Message

I am honored to continue serving as President of the Houston Women’s Society of CPAs for the 2026–2027 fiscal year. As I begin my fifth year in this role, I remain deeply grateful for the privilege of working alongside an outstanding group of women who generously give their time, talent, and leadership to support our organization and the broader accounting community in Houston.

Our mission remains centered on connection, education, leadership, and service. HWSCPA continues to provide a welcoming space for women CPAs, accounting professionals, students, and guests to learn from one another, build meaningful relationships, and support one another through every stage of our careers.

We are excited for another year of programming designed to bring our community together through educational sessions, networking events, leadership development, and opportunities to engage with peers across the Houston accounting profession. Please watch our Event Calendar for upcoming socials, webinars, conferences, and other events throughout the year.

One of the greatest strengths of HWSCPA is the dedication of our volunteers, Board members, committee chairs, and longtime members who continue to invest in this organization year after year. Their commitment allows us to offer meaningful programs, foster mentorship, and create an environment where women in accounting can grow professionally while building lasting friendships.

As we look ahead, our Board remains focused on growing our membership, expanding our reach, and continuing to be a strong resource for women in the Houston accounting community. If you are a current member, thank you for being part of HWSCPA. If you are new to our organization, we warmly invite you to attend an event, bring a colleague, volunteer on a committee, or consider future Board service.
